"The food is hearty and affordable, but lacks flavor a bit for me. I was planning to try this place for a while as it’s a true SF staple but was disappointed by the quesadilla I picked. Just tons of cheese and bland chicken. Barely could finish a half of it. The wet burrito had more taste thanks to the sauce so that’s probably the safe choice if you can manage to eat that huge thing. The service was very friendly though and the ambiance of a lively Mexican spot was nice."

"I ordered the burrito mojado and spent like 20 minutes slowly devouring it. Every bite had a nice combo of flavors and them topping it with three different condiments made for a fun experience eating. It can be a bit pricey but you are basically paying for two meals. Definitely recommend for your Mission Burrito! Also, you get chips and salsa included with your order."

"Excellent tacos and quesadillas! The outside looks a bit like a hole in the wall but the inside is super colorful and lively, and the salsa is always a little bit more spicy than you think. The portion sizes are also pretty generous- a single taco is really heaped enough for two tacos"

"We were told that anyone visiting San Francisco must try out a Mission burrito. Taqueria Cancun was one of the names that came up so we had high hopes going in. Unfortunately, the experience was underwhelming. The chicken burrito tasted exactly like how you’d imagine it. It tasted like a burrito that you could get pretty much anywhere else in the United States. Maybe a little more authentic than that. It was, however, quite sizable so you definitely get a good value out of the meal. The salsa was also delicious. It was spicy, but flavorful. Overall, we were glad to experience it. Everyone working here was super nice and friendly as well."

"We came in after a concert past midnight and whoa! The food was amazing, the chicken is so well seasoned! Staff was very nice to us and even let us stay to eat when they were closing. "First time coming here and it was great. Service is fast and to the point. Its a little on the spendier side for a burrito but it's 2025 so im not mad. The chips are thicc bois and the salsa is too. Can't wait to come back and try more meat options. Also the tortillas are like... crazy good."
